		<description>So Longhorn continues to work towards creating the useless?  Surely chasing Linux in the server race is a pointless exercise. (If I had a younger brain I would be a Linux user.)</description>

Yep, I suppose all these fancy code names can be confusing. And the regular changes make it even more so.

"Longhorn" is really the codename for the technology development project which spawned &lt;em&gt;Vista&lt;/em&gt; for the desktop and is now about to give us &lt;em&gt;Windows Server 2008&lt;/em&gt; (currently in Beta 3).</description>
