Hasn’t the ABC and SBS gone down the tubes. Here we are paying SBS to run a TV station full of advertising. They won’t admit it but the Governement is indirectly controling the ABC via funding.

Stuart: I thought about pre-ordering my copy of Jonestown as soon as I heard the ABC had dumped it. But honestly, I don't need any book to tell me that Alan Jones is sewerage-pond slime. I can tell that by the divisive bile that comes out of his mouth.

Huggies: I think we need to rally around our ABC. The present government is clearly trying to cripple it, then close it down and force us all over to the Murdoch-Packer pay-to-watch advertorial/infotainment world. The ABC is our last hope for unbiased, free-to-air news and comment.

As for SBS, well at least the advertisements are generally corralled into blocks between programs. And they're not always running 13 minutes late like the commercial stations -- forcing us to record 13 minutes of drivel at the beginning and lose 13 minutes at the end of every program we record.

Hear hear...

I have started reading Jonestown, it's already twisted as hell. Determining what is fact and what is fantasy from Alan Jones' background is a nightmare!
